• 2009 - Only middle school in Georgia named a No Child Left Behind Blue Ribbon School, scoring in the top 10 percent on state assessments in reading/language arts and mathematics. 
• Ranked 10th for 2009 by the Georgia Public Policy Foundation's Highest Ranking Schools Report Card for Parents

Alan C. Pope High School

• Ranked 8th for 2009.
• Cited in the January 2007 Best High Schools issue of Atlanta Magazine for consistent high marks; ranked sixth for both the most math and music awards earned, tied with three other metro high schools for 14th place for most language arts electives offered, and recognized athletically as outstanding in girl's soccer.
• Ranked 6th in the state in 2007 and 12th in 2004 by the Georgia Public Policy Foundation's Highest Ranking Schools Report Card for Parents.
